Pastor Michaile has always had a heart for God’s people. From the age of 11 when she accepted Christ, she has felt the call of God on her life, which in due season, would be to lead God’s people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ in the use of her pastoral gifts.
A good part of her journey was to discern and accept that call despite at times resistance from the church to pursue that pastoral call in being a female pastor in the early years of her ministry pursuits. It was in that journey of the affirmation of her pastoral call, that a specific call to create a preaching and teaching ministry to affirm women in ministry that the vision for Abundant Life Ministries began.
Its work is ongoing as a non-profit ministry to provide the theological and spiritual formation foundations for women in ministry where both men and women in partnership affirm the call of women to pastoral ministry.
Pastor Michaile holds her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Indiana State University (cum laude), and her Master of Theological Studies (high honors) and a Certificate of Intercultural Studies from North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago, IL. She is ordained in the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) denomination. She also holds clergy credentials in ECO (Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians).
Pastor Michaile has served on various boards within the ECC, namely the Central Conference Ministerial Alliance Executive Committee as its chair, the Clergywomen’s Advisory Board, the Committee on Ministry Board, and the Commission for Biblical Gender Equality. She has also recently been accepted into the Doctor of Ministry program at the Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where she will be doing doctoral work in biblical gender equality.
Pastor Michaile currently serves as the interim pastor of Ogden Dunes Community Church (ECO), and was also the senior pastor of Portage Evangelical Covenant (ECC) church for five and a half years in Portage, Indiana.
Pastor Michaile has been married for 31 years to her college sweetheart, Anthony. They have two children, and two grandchildren. In her spare time, she likes to travel with her husband, shop antique stores, and if not a pastor, would be an interior designer.
